Czwarta już część cieszącej się dużą popularnością serii we wnikliwy sposób bada bogaty katalog firmy wydawniczej z Memphis. Znajdują się tutaj prawdziwe perełki – trudno dostępne B-sides i inne rzadkie utwory, nie tylko te soulowe, z których Stax Records słynie, lecz również te z pogranicza rocka, popu, a także bluesa, muzyki gospel i country.
Nagrania pochodzą z lat 1960-1975. Zestaw zawiera też 80-stronicowy booklet, w którym znajdują się nowe eseje. Ich autorami są: dziennikarz muzyczny Lee Hildebrand, pisarz i producent Alec Palao, współproducent zestawu Bill Belmont i Rob Bowman, autor książki Soulsville U. S.
