W hołdzie islandzkiemu kompozytorowi Jóhannowi Jóhannssonowi DG prezentuje obszerną, dwuczęściową antologię nagrań jego przełomowych dzieł. Wydawnictwo nosi tytuł "Retrospective" i jest dostępne w wersji deluxe z książką w twardej oprawie.

"Retrospective" zawiera wczesne dzieła Jóhannssona, które nie były wydawane od lat i będą dostępne po raz pierwszy. Znajdują się tutaj również dwa nowe eseje Wyndhama Wallace'a i Johna Schaefera oraz wiele unikalnych fotografii, oferujących głęboki wgląd w biografię i muzykę Jóhanna.
Jóhannsson był ważną postacią na dynamicznie rozwijającej się scenie kompozytorów, którzy swobodnie i pomysłowo poruszali się między ścieżkami filmowymi, minimalistyczną muzyką klasyczną, ambientem i elektroniką.
"Mam obsesję na punkcie tekstury dźwięku (... ) i interesują mnie minimalne formy i środki wyrazu tak proste, jak to tylko możliwe, sprowadzone do swojej pierwotnej formy" - Jóhann Jóhannsson.
