Wszystkie te albumy zostały nagrane w ciągu zaledwie kilku dni w sierpniu i październiku 1957 roku. Dziś, uznawane są za jedne z najwybitniejszych w bogatej dyskografii Armstronga.
Każdy z albumów posiada oryginalny dźwięk mono, co jest bezprecedensowym zjawiskiem na rynku płyt CD.
