15 kwietnia 2016, piątekSony Classical ma zaszczyt zaprezentować 4 płytowy zestaw nagrań niemieckiego dyrygenta i muzykologa Konrada Ruhlanda. Urodził się w 1932 roku w Landau am Inn. Studiował historią, łacinę, teologię a także historię liturgiczną, co dało mu solidne podstawy do badań muzykologicznych. W 1956 roku wraz z grupą entuzjastycznie nastawionych przyjaciół założył "Capella Antiqua" – zespół specjalizujący się w wykonywaniu liturgicznej muzyki wokalnej wczesnego renesansu i baroku. Z biegiem czasu zespół rozrósł się do 19 osób dokonując wielu nagrań płytowych.
Na bazie swych wieloletnich doświadczeń z wykonywaniem muzyki dawnej w 1976 roku założyłRuhland Niederaltaicher Scholaren, zespół specjalizujący się w wykonywaniu chorału gregoriańskiego i muzyki wczesnego renesansu. Jego dorobek naukowy i wydawniczy przybliżył odbiorcom twórczość wielu zapomnianych kompozytorów ( przede wszystkim z terenów południowych Niemiec). Był takżewykładowcą letnich seminariów organizowanych przezw University of Philadelphia.
